A magnetic pickup in a panel mount tachometer is an electronic device that detects changes in a magnetic field and converts it into an electrical signal. This signal is then used to measure the rotational speed of a machine or engine. It is typically mounted in a panel on the side of the machine or engine, allowing it to be easily accessed and monitored. The magnetic pickup is typically composed of a coil, a magnet, and a Hall effect device, which converts the magnetic field into an electrical signal. The pickup is usually connected to a tachometer, which measures the rotational speed of the machine or engine.
Used in industrial applications to monitor the performance of motors.
Full Digital, Micro Controller LSI circuit design for high reliability and versatility
Comes with a sturdy, easy to carry/handle carrying case box with foam padding for protection against impact.
Employs the principle of generating signals output by the change of electrical state induced by ferrous & magnetic material. These digital signals out put of 60 PPR proportional to speed is processed and computed & RPM is displayed on panel meter.
Magnetic pickup consists of a threaded 16 mm dia. X 70 mm long brass/stainless steel probe with locknuts. It has to be mounted at a distance of 1.5 to 2.0 mm adjacent to a 60 teeth pulsor disc or wheel concentrically on the rotating shaft of rotor/drive whose rpm is to be tested OR measured continuously.
