A contact-type tachometer is a device used to measure the speed of a rotating object, such as a motor or shaft. It typically consists of a dial, a needle, and an adjustable contact point. The needle is connected to the contact point, which is placed against the object being measured. As the object rotates, the contact point vibrates against the surface of the object, causing the needle to move. The resulting reading on the dial indicates the speed of the object.
